Argumentation #1

The whole controversy over the Gold and White dress, or is it blue and black, is pointless This is basically what portrays our society as being stupid. It becomes even more motivated when someone says, "Hey what a pretty Blue and Black dress" corresponding with fifteen likes. What color is the dress? It is in fact a blue and black dress, but how can that be when others viewed it as completely different?
People only feed in to this situation because they feel left out and out of the "debate". Although why does this matter? Why is it important that some see the dress as blue and others white? It shows the different perspectives people have and nothing is ever black and white... or in this case black and blue. Everyone has their own opinions no matter how stupid it can be, and no one but yourself can accept right and wrong.

Assertion Analysis #12

Ralph Waldo Emerson expresses about the individuality of human kind.Everyone is unique and different in their own way. Individuality begins when it he writes "we will speak our own minds..." and "each believes himself inspired by the divine soul". Both quotes speak about how each persons is their own individual, that they have their own minds. When Emerson states "A nation of men will for the first time exist" I believe he is talking about Democracy. How the United States was the first democratic country in the Americas.

A rhetorical device Emerson uses is repetition. Ralph Waldo Emerson repeats the phrase; "we will..." giving it the words more emphasis.  By him doing this he portrays his willingness to get his point across. Also by repeating this two words it establishes how all this things haves something in common, similar in some extent.
