Ralph Waldo Emerson expresses about the individuality of
human kind.Everyone is unique and different in their own way. Individuality begins when it he writes "we
will speak our own minds..." and "each believes himself inspired by the
divine soul". Both quotes speak about how each persons is their own
individual, that they have their own minds. When Emerson states "A
nation of men will for the first time exist" I believe he is talking
about Democracy. How the United States was the first democratic country
in the Americas.
A rhetorical device Emerson uses is repetition. Ralph Waldo Emerson
repeats the phrase; "we will..." giving it the words more emphasis. By
him doing this he portrays his willingness to get his point across. Also
by repeating this two words it establishes how all this things haves
something in common, similar in some extent.
